As I stand here afraid
Under the onslaught
I wish desperately that you were real
Placing my trust into an illusion
Instead of God
Who can do everything
While you can do nothing
But flit across the realms of my mind
As a shadow in disguise

I do like your poetry quite a deal. I appreciate how it appears to be freeform when really there is a delicate structure underneath that allows the whole thing to hang together quite elegantly. Boy, I ramble, but I think that’s what I want to say.
I really like this:)
Beautiful…
Trusting in Him,
Is what we must do
As His protection
Is more than mans.
These illusions that speak
Are in complete deceit,
Yet God protects all
Under His hand!
I was supposed to introduce you to JOV of Journey of verse but he’s here. he already left a comment. very well.
